Implements – From Sublime to Ridiculous

Not many spankers do all hand spanking all the time. I certainly don’t. But, when it comes to the kinds of implements people prefer the range goes from completely practical to completely NOT!

As a spanker, I like all kinds of implements and I’ve been known to use an implement or two that might fall in the ridiculous category. As a spankee, I don’t like any implements. (Well…you know what I mean. It’s a love/hate thing.) What I especially don’t like, as a spankee, are the ridiculous. Okay, so what do I consider sublime, or ridiculous? Here we go:

The hairbrush is one that I consider sublime. It’s practical and almost every household has one. As a spankee, it does indeed hurt, but it doesn’t make me feel silly. One can overplay the humiliation factor.

I think this steel re-enforced black leather strap is sublime. It’s not exactly practical. But, it was lovingly crafted by a true spanking enthusiast for maximum effect and it’s very sexy looking.

My favorite sublime implement is this beautiful blonde leather strap. Again, not usually found around the home, but crafted by one of the best in the spanking biz: London Tanners! As a spanker, I use this one often. It’s easy to aim and control and if you give it a good swing it really, really stings. Ouch!

This classic “school” style paddle is definitely sublime. It’s made to get the job done and it isn’t at all silly. I wouldn’t laugh if someone used it on me!

A slipper definitely falls into the ridiculous category. It’s just silly and, though probably effective, I would never use something on someone’s bare bottom that has seen the concrete streets, or the kitchen floor. YUK! How unsanitary.

A flip flop is all that the slipper is and possibly more. Ridiculous!

No offense to the fine craftsman who made this paddle, but I haven’t even been able to bring myself to use it. A butterfly shaped paddle? What? It floats like a butterfly, but stings like a bee? No. Definitely ridiculous.

This flower shaped paddle (though I have used it on occasion because it can cover an entire bottom in one swing) also falls into the ridiculous category. I called it the Flower Power Paddle when I used it. The second time I tried to use it, it nearly broke. Ridiculous.

This triple cane is actually one of my favorites, or it was before Snow Mercy’s tough tushy exploded the tips of it. It looks kinda silly, but was extremely effective and easy to aim. Canes can be very difficult to aim!

I call this one the thwacker, because that’s what it sounds like when it meets a deserving butt. I’ve had it for years and I actually like using it. But, it’s very extreme and can only be used on a very hard player. I think it’s a palm frond that’s been smoothed out and shellacked over. Go figure

So, on those last two, feel free to chime in on whether you think they’re sublime, or ridiculous. Or, on any of the above mentioned implements for that matter. Do you agree, or disagree?

A Short Honeymoon?

Okay, so the big buzz around town this week, (that would be my town, L.A.) is all about how the Los Angeles Lakers star forward, Lamar Odom, married reality TV star Khloe Kardashian.  I’m a huge Lakers fan, so this news was at first a little unsettling for me. I thought, ‘Maybe it’s a joke.’ Then, I Googled it and found out it is true. I was like, “Lamar, Lamar. Noooo!” L.O. doesn’t always show the greatest judgment when it comes to his personal life. During the regular season the man lives off candy. Lots and lots of candy! Everyone knows that’s no way to eat. )Oh, I get it. Khloe is his new favorite candy!) And, of course, the person who introduced them was Ron Artest, who has just joined the Lakers and whom I hated him when he was playing with the Houston Rockets. See? He’s already messing with the team chemistry.

Then it occurred to me…Lamar has the largest hands in the NBA. Could it be that the new Mrs. Odom has a spanking fetish? Stranger things have happened. Maybe they’re both into it?

For fantasy sake, let’s go there. The couple exchanged vows on 9/27. L.O. has to report to training camp on 9/29. If they both are spankos and he plans on spanking her during their honeymoon, with hands that big poor Khloe will need a short one! Then she’ll need all the time that he’s away at training camp for her bruised bottom to recover!

Finally, Vanessa Bryant will have another drama queen with whom to share tabloid time. Wait? Kobe’s pretty strict. Maybe he spanks Vanessa, too? Then, there’s always Coach Phil Jackson and team owner Jerry Buss’ daughter Jeanie Buss. Could it be there’s a little daddy/daughter role play going on between them? Hehe…

Last, but not least, a small disclaimer. This is all from the perverted mind of yours truly, so don’t quote me on this stuff. I understand from the news this morning that it was a very nice wedding, although polls show that no one thinks it will last very long. Awww, come on. Give a couple a chance people!

I just recently returned from attending the Shadow Lane party in Vegas. Actually, I returned last weekend, but only just found the time to write about my adventures there.

If you’ve never been to a large, organized spanking party weekend, you wouldn’t believe all that you hear about them. Think of a big group of people who are into spanking descending on a hotel and taking it over. You’re walking down the hallway after checking in and you hear the sounds of spanking coming from room after room. A sly smile spreads across your face. You’ve just had your first indicator that you’re among friends…YOUR kind of friends. That’s only one of the many amazing things you’ll hear, see and, if you’ve done your social networking before attending, get to do.

Okay, about that social networking. If you’re serious about actually getting in on some spanking action, a first time attendee, especially, but even someone like me who has attended almost every Shadow Lane party since they began throwing them, has to do a little pre-party networking. In my case, it’s so that I actually know whose lap I’m climbing over. I won’t have trouble spanking, or getting spanked. But, I might find myself in a situation that is not to my liking. There are only so many situations in which one has time to engage, so I like to make sure the ones in which I do are satisfying to me and the other person involved. The SL site itself is a good place to begin, but anything from MySpace, to Fetlife, to Twitter will help you make acquaintances and appointments to meet those acquaintances once you’re at the party. It’s essential. Otherwise, you’ll walk into the Friday night meet and greet they call the Vendor Fair completely clueless. Trying to meet people and hook up at that point is very, very difficult unless you’re an established spanking star, or extremely gifted with good looks, charm and spanking savvy.

Some people get there a couple of days ahead of the actual Friday night start. They like to get an early start on the spanking festivities. Being a responsible spanking producer and Webmistress, I don’t have the luxury of being able to get there any earlier than Friday afternoon. My husband Larry and I took longer getting away from the business than we planned. We got to the hotel at 6:15 p.m. for a 7 p.m. begin to the Vendors Fair. The Friday night meet and greet is called the Vendor Fair because it affords crafts people (paddle, cane and strap makers) and movie producers to set up tables and sell their wares as people mix and mingle. Larry and I opted not to do a table this year. We felt the need to return to our spanking roots and attend as party-goers only. We had the opportunity to meet the people we’d connected with online without having a large imposing table in front of us. Face to face was much cozier and it worked. A couple of hours later we found ourselves at a privately hosted party in a large suite that was oriented towards couples only. We met the lovely couple who hosted the party and exchanged spanking partners with another couple (I was spanked by him and Larry spanked his wife). Fun and thrillingly kinky. Oh yeah, and stingy for me!

Larry and I awakened rather late on Saturday, due to carrying on rather late the night before. We pulled ourselves together to make a reasonable appearance before going to brunch. When you’re at this kind of event, you never leave your room looking anything less than your best. Okay, my eyes were still a little puffy, but I clean up pretty nicely if I do say so myself. Larry looked relaxed and coolly casual. Cool. We made our way to the hotel’s café where we saw several groups of the people we’d met, or spanked, or been spanked by getting their nutrition before the spanking (and drinking) began again. Shortly after brunch, about an hour and a half later, we went to another suite party. This one was hosted by a New York spanking club, SSNY. They have regular parties, big events that they put together for East Coasters. Their parties are getting more and more popular, though, so even West Coasters are making their scene, lately. We had to check them out. I was spanked by one of the main organizers of SSNY. Ouch! He spanks hard! But, I wasn’t done for the weekend. Don’t worry. We pretty much had to leave that party soon after, though. We needed to rest up for the BIG PARTY, the formal Saturday night event that is really the highlight of the weekend. Larry was in a napping mood, but I was too excited to nap. I left him in our room and tried some time at the slots. Usually I’m pretty good. This time? No luck. Pooh! So, I found Clare Fonda’s room and hung out with her and her gang for a couple of hours. We chatted and a little spanking happened…even some tickling, but it was mostly very laid back. Soon, it was time to get back to my room to get fancified for the main event.

Saturday night, everyone gets all dressed up. Everyone looks amazing, some women in evening gowns and some men in tuxedos even. There’s a banquet and a great DJ and dancing. A little vanilla party activity before everyone starts to make their way to the various private parties held in suites and rooms throughout the hotel. Some people make arrangements to meet for very private, one on one, spanking get-togethers before making their way to the big parties. Larry and I did that. We’d made an appointment to spank a lovely woman from Kansas who wanted to do a mother and father role play scene. The three of us went up to our room and Larry and I tag-teamed her. I spanked her first, scolding in as motherly a manner as I could muster. Sometimes, it’s difficult to get into a role play when there are so many distractions (i.e., the rest of the party going on everywhere), but it was very pleasant spanking her perfect, fair-skinned bottom. Larry then took his turn. He was rather more strict with her than I. She was pleased. We hugged and went back to the main ballroom. There, Larry and I ran into Sarah Gregory, whom we’ve worked with on several occasions. She also wanted to go up to our room and play out a mamma, poppa scene. When Sarah had had her spankings, the three of us went to a very large suite party. This hotel suite was amazing! There were bedrooms on both ends and a large living room and kitchen area all gorgeously decorated with all the luxury amenities. Wow! There, I was spanked by someone a friend had recommended. Erica didn’t lead me wrong. The spanking this gentleman gave me was hard, but good. If you’re into spanking, you know exactly what that means. Larry ran off for a while. I lost track of him as he had fun with a couple of ladies in need of party-style discipline. During that time, Sarah asked me to do another scene with her. This time, she wanted a public spanking in the middle of the whole large suite where everyone who wasn’t engaged in spanking or being spanked was able to observe. I told her she was an attention whore and she laughed at me. So, I grabbed her by the arm and dragged her to a good spot for me to sit and spank, yanked her over my knee and began giving her the hardest hand spanking I could muster for being so needy for spanking attention. Our little scene was a hit! Pun unavoidable. Sorry.

All too soon, it was very late and the party was over. Larry and I zigzagged our way back to our room in a post party meander. Sleep came quickly for both of us and we awakened on Sunday with just enough time to enjoy each other, order room service and check out on time. The drive back to L.A. was most pleasant, both of us enjoying a good post party glow of one type or another and the beautiful desert scenery, too.

I just had the one of the most amazing spanking experiences of my life! For me, that’s really saying something. I had worked with Dia Zerva before, playing a nurse in a Shadow Lane video that’s soon to be released. When she emailed me that she would be in town, immediately I knew we had to work with her for our own site, www.GoodSpanking.com and of course, she’ll be in a full-length movie at www.CPEntertainment.com soon, too.

I did one of my Chelsea Spanks sessions with her. I know Dia is a hard player and I knew she’d be perfect for that kind of movie. She was! Before we started she expressed a desire for me to push her limits. She told me she likes the release of a good cry. That might seem like music to a spanker’s ears, but it’s also kind of intimidating. I’ve made women cry before, but not intentionally. It was a new frontier for me as a top.

I started out as I always do for these sessions, with a good warm up hand spanking. If you’re going to take it for a half-hour straight you need a good warm up. I have to take it in stages and I’ve done so many of these sessions by now that I know how to map out my half hour through those stages. Lately, I’m known more as a spanker than spankee, so people who know me from my earlier work as a spankee in Shadow Lane productions are confused as to my orientation. I’m bringing this up because I believe there are many women who begin as bottoms and end up as tops. The deal about me, though, is that I’m a true switch, which means I truly like to spank as well as be spanked.

Do I pine to be spanked while I’m spanking? No. Do I wish I was doing the spanking while being spanked? No. So, how do I determine when and where I’ll do what? It all depends on the other person involved, of course.

If I’m with my husband, Lawrence Selden, I’d prefer to be spanked. Why? Because I know that he’s a true top. His only interest in spanking is spanking women, or seeing women spanked. I would never, ever try to take the upper hand with him, because he shows absolutely no tendency toward a desire to bottom. That said, when I encounter a man who does, I would naturally want to spank him. I have absolutely no problem spanking men and making sure they get everything they deserve!

Once, at a spanking party, a gentleman asked if he could spank me. I thought him attractive and he certainly looked competent, so I said he could. Only a couple of moments over his knee and I knew that his heart wasn’t in it. I mean, here he was spanking THE Chelsea Pfeiffer and he wasn’t getting into it. I stopped the scene and asked him if he’d rather I spanked him and, of course, that is exactly what was going through his head. We switched places and the scene took off.

Whether they are male, or female, I always judge how I’m going to handle a spanking session by the personality of the other man, or woman, involved. That said, do I ever have a model show up for a shoot and suddenly decide that she should spank me instead? No, though I have sometimes, half way through a shoot, decided that the woman I was working with would/could be up to spanking me. If she’s intelligent, clever, witty and displays a good deal of self-confidence and bodily confidence I suddenly find myself wondering what it would be like to have her spank me. That’s when plans change, scripts are tossed and the fun improvised switching begins! Woohoo!

I often get emails asking me whether whomever they’ve recently observed me spanking got aroused during the spanking. They site physical signs of this arousal, i.e., hard nipples on nude women, or even possibly slight (or not so slight) wetness between the legs and a blushed complexion not only on their behinds. I’ve also been asked what I do about this arousal after the spanking is over and the camera is off.

I do believe that there is an inherent eroticism in the act of spanking to which women (and men, of course) respond, even those who aren’t officially spanking enthusiasts. The spanking itself, because it causes a rush of blood to the behind and, therefore, the genitals, is stimulating, even though it does hurt a bit. The pleasure often outweighs the pain once that rush of blood and the accompanying endorphins hit. Once that happens, of course, visible signs of arousal will occur. Isn’t that lovely? I believe, too, that a lot of the women I’ve spanked who aren’t professed spanking enthusiasts appreciate spanking for other reasons besides the pleasure/pain aspect. They’re exhibitionists and that means they love attention, attention paid especially to areas around their pussies, which they love to show off. I find this most endearing!

Now for the question about what do I do about this arousal after the spanking is over and the camera off? Um, I hate to wreck any fantasies. So, for those of you who would like to think we women then pleasure each other sexually, STOP READING NOW! Hehe.

The truth of the matter is, once I’ve spanked them I write them a nice check and then send them home to their husbands or significant others to be satiated in whatever manner does that best for them. Awww… I know. But, one must maintain a degree of professionalism, even as a spanking movie producer and performer.

What Is It About Bratting?

Well, I only got one comment on my first blog posting, but it was a good one. Strike1 suggested that I write about my favorite shoots, or my favorite spankee. Both excellent suggestions, but topics one must handle carefully, especially when it comes to favorite spankees. I’d hate to hurt anyone’s feelings. So, I’ll get to those topics some other time. Don’t worry, strike1, I took notes and they’re in my blog file!

What I really want to discuss is the topic I mentioned at the end of my first posting, bratting. That would be when someone is a brat, either during, or before, their spanking. One is seldom a brat after their spanking. I might even venture to say one is never a brat after their spanking. I believe I might be one of the better women to blog on that topic, as I’ve been known to be one of the spanking world’s biggest brats, and there are many, believe me. Okay, there’s one woman I can think of who is even more of a brat than I and that would be Erica Scott of Shadow Lane fame. That woman just doesn’t know when to stop her sassing! Anyway, back to the why of it.

Why do I brat? Simply because it’s too much of a blow to my pride to simply sit there and take it. See, there are two kinds of spankees, those who are inherently submissive and those who are brats. Submissives like to go into their “sub-space,” and relax into the experience. Brats just CANNOT do that. It would be too much of a concession to the spanker, like saying, “Okay, you’re completely right and I’m completely wrong.” NOT! See? I just can’t go there!

Now, besides the two kinds of spankees, there are two kinds of brats. My kind of brat gets themselves into a spanking by merely doing whatever they’ve done to earn the spanking because they wanted to do it and proceeded without thought or concern for others. The other kind of brat (the kind that some people, including me, find more annoying than sexy) do things, naughty things, in order to goad their spanker into spanking them. Those things that they do are really, really irritating. Depending on their spanking partner, their attempts might, or might not be successful.

Finally, a good brat (if there can be said to be such a thing) knows just what to say and when. One must be clever, too! It makes the spanker pause and think about how to respond. Oh, and it wins the spankee some harder spanks, as well. It goes something like this, just as your spanker thinks he/she finally has the upper hand, you spout out a true zinger, like, “When’s the spanking going to start. I thought you said you were going to spank me, not bore me!”

Not matter what kind of brat you are there’s one little thing I should mention. If you’re going to brat while being spanked, you’d best be able to take a hard spanking! If you’re going to try to brat your way into a spanking, you’d better be able to take a REALLY hard spanking!!

Please Let Me Introduce Myself

When I was asked by the people at Spanking.com to blog for them, I was flattered. I mean, there are many, many spanking movie producers whom they could have asked and they picked me. I’ll do my best to represent!

You might not all know me, so here’s an introduction. I’m Chelsea Pfeiffer, the co-owner, with my husband Lawrence Selden, of Chelsea Pfeiffer Entertainment, Inc. and websites www.CPEntertainment.com , www.GoodSpanking.com, www.GoodSpankingClassics.com and www.SpankSinn.com . We’ve been in business for slightly over 10 years and, at the time of my writing this, have produced somewhere around 150 spanking movies.

How did I get myself into this, you might ask? For starters, sort of, GoodSpanking used to be a physical magazine, as opposed to an Internet site, and I used to be its editor. But, my story begins even before then.

Before we started our company, I was making bondage and spanking movies for Harmony Concepts, Inc. I began working for Harmony in 1987, in their mailroom, duping videotapes. I have a BFA degree with a specialization in dance, so this was pretty far from that in most ways. But, I was 27 and it was time to end my career as a dancer. As I watched those tapes I was duping I realized I could make those movies. I quickly made it known to the owner of Harmony that I was ready to take on more challenging tasks. An arts degree is an arts degree, no matter the specialization and, in order to get it, I had to learn more than how to dance. I had always been a pretty good writer and, as an artist, I was creative, naturally. It took some convincing, but soon I was out of the mailroom and using my talents and creativity in ALL sorts of ways.

I learned photography and videography. I learned how to tie women up. I wasn’t actually into bondage as a personal fetish for me, but I understood it. I related to it on a creative level. I liked tying women in dancers’ poses. I liked making the women look erotically enticing in bondage and photographing them just so. I was having a pretty good time!

Still, I am a spanking enthusiast, so it wasn’t long before I learned of Eve Howard and Shadow Lane through Kiri Kelly, a fetish model who had worked with both Harmony and Shadow Lane. Kiri and I had become friends and she told me of her adventures while appearing in Shadow Lane movies. I was so envious! I wanted to be in those movies…to be the center of attention and get SPANKED! The idea scared me and thrilled me, all at once. I wrote to Eve and she asked me to submit photos of myself. Since I was a photographer, I had the idea to shoot spanking still photos. I felt that would be a much more enthusiastic way to introduce myself than a simple head shot. I planned the scenes and, since I was in them, got Kiri to take the photos while my (then) husband, Brian Tarsis, spanked me. Yes, even though they were still photos, he really spanked me so expressions weren’t contrived. Eve liked them so much I ended up on the cover of her magazine, Stand Corrected. With so much in common, Eve and I quickly became friends, too.

Mr. Harmon found out about the fun I was having over at Shadow Lane and saw dollar signs. He got me started making spanking movies for his company. Since bondage was the thing at Harmony, I had no customer base for my movies. I culled a few off Harmony’s mailing list, but not enough to make Mr. Harmon happy. To be completely truthful, I wasn’t happy, either. I wanted to be spanked, not the giver of spankings, or the filmer of spankings. Although, I was naturally pretty good at both giving spankings and filming them, right from the start. I just loved it that much.

When Shadow Lane offered to hire me, I jumped at the chance. I worked for them for a couple of years. It was during that time that Brian Tarsis and I divorced and I met Lawrence, only not quite in that order.

I was lured back to Harmony to be editor in chief for Bondage Life magazine. That was a big deal back then, so I went for it. Soon, I was making spanking movies for Harmony, again! I was a busy girl, editing magazines, shooting bondage AND spanking movies. It was a crazy time. Thank goodness it wasn’t long before I broke off and started my own company. Aaah! I’d finally found my place in life and it’s been pretty darned good ever since. I spank LOTS of lovely women and I can get spanked whenever I want to by my Larry, or in a movie. It’s my choice!

There are a lot details I couldn’t fit in without writing a book, but in a nutshell, this is who I am. Now that you know, let’s get back to the blog. I’m interested in making this a sort of a forum for the spanking community, so I’m asking for suggestions on topics. I want to know what YOU want to talk about. Please feel free to comment with your suggestions, otherwise, I’m the authority here and I’ll just go for it. Ha! Maybe my first topic should be about bratting?

As I’m sure you know, Chelsea has been in the scene for a long time now, and has produced some of the finest videos available. She’s got a wealth of experience and knowledge that she wants to share with us.
She wants her contributions to foster conversation on this site, so, dear readers, ready any questions that you are just burning to have answered.
